macro lenses, sharpness and bokeh are more important then AF speed since
these lenses are usually used Manual focus, since you need to decide where

Frankly I have the Vivitar 100mm, using it mostly at half size. The af sucks
big time, but then you do not use this for portraiture, and if you do, i do
not see how you need very fast AF anyway.

Also, for portrait you can use a soft fx1,2 or 3. At Soft FX filter #3 gets
pretty dreamy beginning 100. I think a Soft/FX #2 at 100mm should compensate
for these very sharp lenses.
