Because I already have those two 550EX, a new macro ringlight would be a 
new purchase and I want to try what I have (except for the OSC2).

I think it will work, but I want experiences from people who had tried it yet.

Will try tetrabrik packs in front of the flashes, the inside is a good 
reflective surface and very easy to carry.
