Humm...I am not sure. I just looked at the paper that came with one of them and it says "Use Nikon Speedlights. Other units may damage cameras electronic circuit due to incompatible voltage requirements, electric contact alignment or switch phase" So I guess it does not.
Is it as low as 6v? Is that jus the hot shoe?
