The Lowepro Mag is an excellent choice and just fits under an airline seat or in overhead. However, consider adding the backpack harness, which replaces the shoulder strap and waist belt. With the included waist belt and should harness you have nearly the comfort of a backpack, but the harness is designed to unsnap so you can rotate the bag to your front for access and then it to the backpack position. It seems awkward at first, but it really works well once you get use to the quick procedure. Unfortunately, backpacks require removal for every access. Great for hikes, but awkward in other situations. This compromise works well. I purchased the optional backpack hardness from B&H for a very reasonable price. You now have the choice of shoulder bag, should bag with waist strap assistance, or backpack harness. I also have the Nova 5... great bag but lacks the rigidity of the Pro for heavier gear.
