A few weeks ago I was asking about the 28-80 Tokina lens. Well I ordered one. It came last week and I have been shooting with it a lot over the past week, have made enough with it to pay for it several times over already.
On the D-30 it is a great lens. Is very sharp and delivers very crisp images. I am very happy with this lens. Focuses as fast as any EOS lens on the D-30, is almost as quiet as a Canon L lens. I have not used it to shoot chromes yet, I imagine I'd see a difference on chrome in the images from the other Canon L lenses in my kit and this lens, but for the D-30 it is great. All in all I am very happy with this lens.
