I know that this doesn't answer your question, but in the September 2001
issue of EOS Magazine ( www.eos-magazine.com ), they report that:

"We have received an update from Canon saying that this does not apply to
the 15mm f2.8 Fish-eye lens. The angle of view on a 35mm camera is 180
degrees. This drops to 104 degrees on the EOS D30, giving an equivalent 35mm
focal length of 17mm, rather than the 24mm equivalent you would expect."
