My EOS-3 (purchased in July 1999) does what Peter describes (change
aperture while DOF preview button is depressed, and watch the aperture
change). What is "program shift"?

I have the feeling that Pawel was not referring to using the DOF preview
button, because the DOF button would be of most use in modes other than DEP
mode (most useful in AV mode). Pawel, can you clarify what you mean by
"shift the result"?
