Looks like Nikon are catching up to Canon's technological lead.
They've announced a 70-200 lens which has both AF-S (their equivalent
to USM) and VR (their equivalent to IS) for the first time. Very
similar lens to the 70-200 2.8L IS, it would appear.

They also have a new 6 megapixel semi-pro digital SLR that looks
like a 6 Mpx D30 (or the fabled and rumoured D60) and a new
Speedlight flash unit with support for wireless operation.

It'll be interesting to see what Canon will be announcing to compete
with this. :)
