Hi All, But isn't this the same limitation as with all of the newer AF-S lenses and bodies? Only the new electronic "F" mount bodies with the little contacts work with electronic "F" mount AF-S lenses no? It takes a really good camera shop or a dedicated Nikon fan to have any chance of knowing what extenders and what lenses work right on what bodies. The inability to use any lens on any body or with any converter is not news at Nikon for all their proclaiming how compatible the F mount is. Even back in the olden days, the original F mount ran into problems when the (then), new bodies and meters with the (then), new coupling system came out requiring modifications to existing lenses or the body/meter would not couple. Nikon and Nikon fans didn't say too much about that back then and still downplay the changes and crazy limitations of the F mount lenses which they still claim is the largest single mount lens "system." IMO "systems" like this have leave a lot to be desired and I must not be alone, look at the size of this list!!!
