Hi Yesterday I got myself a new 28-135mm IS lens that I have been waiting for a while now. This was my third new lens in two weeks others being a second hand 50mm 1.4 USM and a 17-35mm 2.8L USM (my first L-glass). I quickly attached it to my camera to test it out and was really freaked out when I first heard the noise it made. First I thought that the USM motor was broken given the noise but then realised it must be the IS working (this is my first IS lens), specially when this happened only when pressing the button half way down. Anyone else caught by suprise with the IS?
