Hi Ben,

The A-series or even the P-series filter holder can cause vignetting if you
rotate the holder to a 45 degree setting. Tricks like removing the outer two
filter slots, or WJM's suggestion of mounting the P holder onto the EF 20-35
lens-hood bayonet mount work fine if the filters are mounted vertically or
horizontally, but fail if using filters diagonally.

So, if the A252 Filter-Holder Cap is the reason you live dangerously by
leaving the A-series filter holder on your lens, have you considered using
the A253 Ring cap instead?
