Not only Canon. The days of film are counted. At least 
as far as professional use is considered.

Look for a Fuji Frontier printer.

Nothing to worry about. Depending on the subject 
most of the times more a gain in quality.

There are beamers on the market, that provide surprisingly 
good projections from digital files. No need to stop teaching,
just one larger start investment needed. But then, no
dissolve unit or second projector, endless possibilities
of computer generated dissolve effects, titles, logos,
animations......
