I ran some test comparisons between my two Elan 7s and another camera body whose meter I consider "correct", or more appropriately, calibrated to my style. One problem is the Elan 7's meter is about 1/3-stop different. So in addition to the background brightness over influencing the meter, the meter is slightly off from what I'm used to. Combining the two problems, I ended up with some slides to throw away. The next roll will be better.
