I don't agree with you Peter. I regularly shoot at the racetrack with other
full time working photog's and we nearly always shoot on 100 ISO trannie
film (for high quality magazine reproduction), often at the widest aperture
in low light or for front-on shots. And all use fixed focal length
super-tele's with convertors. Don't take my f2.8 away..

BTW, I love the IS on the bigger lenses. For panned shots where I used to
run a minimum of 1/160 or so I now regularly shoot down to 1/60 and get
sharp subjects with a well blurred background. Don't take my IS away either
:^)
