Hi Mario,

In the world of 35mm SLR bodies there are still very few others that have
been as field proven as the EOS 1 and EOS 1n's have been. These are
workhorse bodies that produce day in day out and can take a pounding
regularly and go out the next day and shoot over and over. They do need
servicing once in a while but this is usually to repair long term abuse
they've been exposed to.

The EOS 3 while an excellent value simply cannot make this claim. The EOS 3
in the Canon body line-up is an entry level body like the EOS 5/A2E bodies
it replaced.

The EOS 1v is a fantastic SLR body but one that many here have said is the
answer to a question that nobody asked. The EOS 1v is truly an amazing,
complex full featured 35mm SLR and it's very tough. But IMO and many others
it's way over the top in terms of what an advanced photographer will take
the time to learn and use. The best features of the EOS 1v are its
incredible AF speed and accuracy, a marked improvement over the EOS 1n and
EOS 3 bodies. The EOS 1v's film advance speed is impressive also but even
to a sports shooter like myself this is not a key reason to buy an EOS 1v.
The EOS 1v's metering system is quite good by all accounts but so is the
much simpler metering system in the EOS 1n.

If the EOS 1n you are looking at is in good shape you will be very happy in
its performance on just about avery level. If it's a good price you will be
even happier!

Cheers/Chip
