Hello, At the moment I�m thinking of getting a Canon 500D Closeup lens for my Sigma EX 2.8/70-200, as I�m not very happy with the closest focusing distance of 1.8m. Besides that, I think it is a great lens.
So my question is: Is there anybody on this list who uses this combo and would share his/her experience with me? How many cm would I gain in focusing closer? I know that this closeup lenses are a compromise, but as I�m often in the mountains (trekking, climbing, etc.) I think this compromise would be better for me than carrying a macro lens that I maybe only seldomly use. Even if I don�t use the closeup lens often, it would add almost no weight to my backpack. Any help is greatly appreciated.
