Hi Marco I owned that close up lens for a while and used it on a 75-300 mmm lens. At 300 I had almost life size (1:1). I stopped using it since at 300mm my lens wobbeld too much and the pictures were not sharp. I got myself a macro lens. But with your lens you will not have that problem. You will get a magnification but not 'super'. Meaning for pictures close to life size you need extra's. If you don't need it, it might be fine though. However the price for the 77mm thread is a lot. You can buy a third party macro lens for that (90 to 105 mm). You might look at different brands with the same quality (nikon? but I don't think they have it for 77mm) >I know that this closeup lenses are a compromise, but as Im often in >the mountains (trekking, climbing, etc.) I think this compromise would >be better for me than carrying a macro lens that I maybe only seldomly >use. Even if I dont use the closeup lens often, it would add almost no >weight to my backpack. This probably rules out the extra macro lens. best regards Arvid * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
