Not around here they don't!  I take the car out I am considering buying,
then either buy or not.  It is not a "Demo," it is the actual vehicle that I
may end up buying.  What are sold as "Demos" are actually the cars used by
the dealership as company cars.  They are not, in most cases, registered,
and therefore, they are considered new cars.  You may buy them at a
discount, but not one deeper than one you could conceivably negotiate on any
vehicle on the lot, i.e. not below true cost.
