Yep, you are right. For me the 1Ds has met the last of my personal requirements:
11 Megapixels (more pixels than my 2700 DPI scanner) 45-point auto focus (like in my EOS-1V) Full size sensor (so no magnification) Compatible with all EOS lenses Truly fabulous, although I'm afraid the cameras have now entered the "computer-era" where performance is doubled every year. This will make relatively new cameras obsolete within months (look at the EOS-1D and D-30). Too bad the price is still really high (Euro 10.000 /$ 10.000). I wish that it had stayed at the same level or lower compared to the 1D. But when I get a (financial) change I'll start doing digital ASAP with an EOS-1Ds. They have changed it to > CMOS ! Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks. But the fact that the sensor (whichever type) is (almost) the same size as a regular film frame seems to me to be the most important feature ever. 1Ds will be able to take full advantage of over 60 great quality lenses. 1D could just USE them, not TAKE ADVANTAGE of them. It just tolerated them. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
