That exact reason you stated. I'm a photojournalist and end up doing a lot of sports in addition to reportage and editorial work. It would be nice for editorial but I can't justify it since the 1D is a capable body for all the above.

Hi George,

In what way do you see the 1Ds not fitting the bill for your work? The only
problem I have with it is the slowish frame advance at 3 fps. I'll have to
keep carrying the 1v with half a dozen rolls of Provia for some specific
setups to get around this limitation.
