Someone on ebay is selling an EF 1.4x V1 extender and made the comment "the lens was not sharp". The asked for an explanation and here is what he said:
"The glass is clean, but a little less than tack sharp. The rear element came loose at one point and it was repaired by Canon Professional Services. I've heard other shooters say that the original 1.4X (like the one I'm selling)is just not perfectly sharp, so it may have nothing to do with the repair. I use it all the time anyway, it's not a big deal. I just bought the newer version from Canon, which is why I'm selling it. I just like to be as honest as possible in the description of items I'm selling." Has anyone else heard this story?
