Don't know about Zenith, but the russian MTO 10/1000 maksutov lens "runs circles" around similar 1000mm telescopes from meade, celestron, etc. Amazingly sharp, and only half the usual going price.
It works with the Elan IIe and D30 (haven't tried with the D60 - yet), but focussing can be a pain in "low" light conditions. Lars -- .~.
