Dear Canon funs, As long as we are deep into the topic of russian lenses - has anyone tried the MC RUBINAR 10/1000 MACRO Tele Lens with Canon? would you share the experiences? I in turn can share some limited experience with 16mm Zenitar with Canon Mount. And my two bits on the russian cameras/optics in general. cameras are extremely primitive, but if they are without defects to begin with they last forever. i mean, they are as robust as tanks. my 16 year old zenit-et fell in the mountains more than once and still works fine. the options, however does not impress to say the least. Nevertheless, there is something good to say about the cameras that do not require batteries! as for optics, it's so-so, but considering it's price - it makes a lot of sense to by the lense that one will use once or twice a year without need for a second morgadge:). of course thiswould not be true for a pro.
