After a talk with a friend who works in a big photo shop, which deals with a lot of pros, I've finally reach the conclusion that the EOS 1V is the last of the great EOS pro analogue cameras. No professional is going to invest in an analogue camera and I believe that the potentials buyers of a new pro analogue camera are so few that it doesn't justify the development of a new camera. Now it seems that the D80 will be based on the EOS 3 and will cost under $3000. Is this the end of EOS Semi Pro cameras? I whish an EOS 3n with improved ECF and a more silent shutter would see the light of day. Now I doubt this too.
