Thanks for the prompt reply, unfortunately I made my original question as
clear as mud!!!! My apologies.

It's a D60 question.

Apart from the obvious (e.g. setting a higher ISO speed, necessitates
altering the shutter/aperture for any given EV), I wondered what differences
in the image quality had been found when, for example, a picture
underexposed by one stop and "pushed one" in RIC, was compared with the same
image shot at one stop higher ISO.

Does this make sense now?
