I *think* I know what you are getting at Craig, but I will just make a quick statement as to what *I* do with my D60... and that is... I try to NEVER shoot at anything other than RAW mode at ISO 100. I use Breeze Browser for RAW conversion, and find the plus and negative 2 stops exposure compensation to be more than adequate unless I have REALLY botched the photo. I do not like the noise at even 200 ISO, anything above that is horrible to me. My "dream" digital camera would be NOISE FREE at ALL ISO speeds... maybe someday. Steve
