EOS Canon P&S Compatability

Since my Olympus Stylus Zoom has bit the dust I am in search of a replacement P&S. I already own a EOS 3 and Elan IIe so I am somewhat familiar with the Canon system. Given my limited abilities as a photographer I would rather spend the time trying to compose the shot and not have to remember how a new interface works. Any recommendations on which Canon P&S would be the easiest to pick-up (note the G2/G3/S45 are out due to price considerations).
