Gary,

If you zoom in on the top left corner of that image you will see a purple
"fringing" on the branches of the tree. This area also appears below the
full images as a cropped section to clearly show the evidence of this
abberation. I just rechecked the image on the webpage to make sure it had'nt
lost it in the upload but it is still clearly visible to me. Look again.

Hi Tim,

Is this chroma visible on your chromes also?  Is it this bad, granted this
is a relatively high level of magnification.  I'm pretty sure that there are
some types of errors like chromatic aberrations that are made worse by the
detectors depending on the detector design filter design used in front of
the sensors.
