I've never noticed it on any trannies before Chip. I use this lens
extensively when doing editorial work which is often published at full or
double page spread and it has never been an issue. I might scan a couple of
likely candidates and see what they look like at high magnification.

I had read about this on one of the early tests of the 1Ds so wasn't too
surprised when I saw the fringing. I am not particularly concerned and it
won't prevent me purchasing the body.
