Latest issue of ColorFoto now also states 'no more D60 production'.

It *is* a pretty clever production concept, if earlier explanations
are true....one production run of each part, by all sub-contractors
at once, and never worry about things running out of stock....or even
becoming incompatible (with slight shifts of chip- and software-
versions). With long-lasting models, one can endure a 1-month delay
because of production problems with subcontractors, but with stuff
like this, and life-cycles of 1 year, you are talking about losses of
nearly 10% total if that happens....

Might as well have been happening with other low-end analog bodies
and camera's as well, but a) on a slightly larger scale, and b) not
with such unexpected high demands.

And if all this is correct, then even complaints about possible lack
of spare- and used-parts on the market are not valid....the
production run was never meant to be larger anyway....all that was
planned to be sold, *is* sold....whether within 6 months or within 24
months doesn't matter.
