(Sorry to take you out of context, Willem-Jan) I thought law in the US (which I just point out as a big market) requires that spare parts be available for a certain period after production finishes, in the category of "years". Thus, Canon would have to provide "sufficient" spare-parts for that time. ...or am I just repeating (and not detailing) an urban myth.
