Hi Joe: I have used it and find this little zoom is good. Optically, it's at least as sharp as 28-135 or 28-105 and distortion is better than 28-105. The downside though is that it has rotating head and has no full-time MF. I think you should be able to find a survey here:
http://www.cmpsolv.com/photozone/ The price of this zoom has been going quite cheap at ebay. :) I hope this helps, Gary ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joe B." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2003 6:56 AM Subject: EOS Anyone used the 28-70/3.5-4.5 mk II? > I'm looking for a small, light zoom lens in this range and would still like better optical performance than most of the consumer zoom lenses if possible. I did read about this one a few years ago and saw some favourable reports of its performance saying it was better than the other non-L zooms but I haven't been able to find anything at all about it when I searched today. Can anyone who has used it give me any info about its optical performance? > > Joe B. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
