Hi Bill,

I doubt that this is patent related, since the EOS 1V apparently can be
programmed with a Personal Function for trap focus if you have the ES-E1
software and a computer.

Since my requirements for a camera body are simpler than a 1V, I spent my
money on L lenses instead. And I the "Almost" trap focus works quite well on
my Elan 7E.
