Well, Hell! Let me add my experience with eBay. This isn't as bad as some of yours but shows something of the company's attitude.
I had My Contax RTSIII on sale and some lowlife thief stole my photographs to illustrate his RTS III on sale in competition with mine. I raised holy Ned about it and eBay wasted two days grilling me for proof they were my pictures. When I told their extremely slow witted employee to look at the photographs of the body serial number and the listing of that number in MY description, the company finally said "Duh. Oh, yeah". Next I heard from eBay was a bright, chirpy little note saying, basically, "OK. Problem solved. Any more problems you just let us know." Great! The auction was over and that thieving scum sold his camera for $100 more than mine brought. Sure the problem was over. The illustrations were gone. Moral: don't trust eBay to help when you are hit by any kind of scam. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Malcolm Stewart" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, June 08, 2003 3:49 AM Subject: Re: EOS New ebay Scams * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
