I'll be sad to see slide film die because 90% of my photography (amateur) is for projection on a 60 inch screen. After many years, I still like the large bold images on a big screen for travel, nature and scenics. Perhaps, one slide in 15 I'll scan and make a print for display or an album. I use a few rolls of print film for family snap shots. Perhaps, when films disappear, we'll all have affordable, large screen HDTV sets with a complete set of tools for recording HD etc.
