What I would like to see would be a very simple (thereby not overly
expensive), low resolution (about 200 x 300 pixels) CCD or CMOS sensor
fitted in the pentaprism. The color-information from this sensor could
easily be used to supply data to the metering system. The advantages would
be:
- color-info available to the metering algorithm.
- 60000-zone metering instead of 35-zone metering.
- possiblitiy to use this sensor to display a histogram, even on film-based
camera's.
