I'm not sure what you're asking, since image scaling is changed by
lens focal length, and cropping. But I can tell ya, for 6 megapixel,
the 10d puts out an incredible image.

And of course one day we'll see this in full frame format I'd expect.
It really is near the limit of good lens resolution.

I have cropped 10d images to 50 percent size and had them printed to
11 by 17 with excellent results.

Last week I shot some downtown buildings in Tokyo and was amazed at
the clean clear details, even in hazy overcast conditions. Of course
little rectangular windows are perfect for these sensor arrays I
suspect. The low noise is a really big feature of this camera. I often
shoot at 1600 ISO in low light. Lately, with our extended rainy
season, more often than not. I don't think I've ever shot at ISO 100
since I haven't seen the sun since I bought the camera in early May.
Yep, been a lousy summer here in Japan so far.
