Hmm, I've got some nice shots of birds in flight with my 10d. I
haven't shot that many in flight, but the ones I have shot, I've got
some good ones. I'm just learning to pan with them, and mostly I don't
have too much opportunity to shoot them in flight. But, since it's
based on the AF of the EOS 7, isn't that supposed to be the latest and
greatest? Perhaps with less sensors than the 3, but as far as servo
tracking? Where did you hear it couldn't shoot moving stuff?

Why don't you rent or borrow one and try it on some flying birds.
