I certainly wouldn't risk my precious EOS3 and lenses on a white water rafting trip. I assume it's a "white water" trip you're making? Years ago my Minolta X700 stopped working simply due to condensation/dampness - fortunately it dried out and was OK the next day, but as it was the only camera with me I was worried about how I'd continue shooting.
