I use a Pelican Case (www.pelican.com) when I'm canoeing. They're almost
indestructable, float (also air tight) and are available in *bright*
colours.

One word of caution. The advertised dimensions are for a bare case, they
DO NOT include the interior padding. The padding is about 1 inch (25mm)
thick.
The interior padding is available in 2 types.

#1 - foam. They call it "pick 'n pluck", it's pre-cut allowing you to
custom fit all your stuff. I tried this and while the custom fit worked
great, the foam seemed "brittle" and bits of it would break off and stick
my lenses (almost like dust). I didn't like the idea of gritty foam
getting into my stuff, so I bought option #2.

#2 - padded material dividers with velco. This is similar to Lowepro
camera packs and bags. You can place the dividers where ever you need. No
foam mess to worry about and the dividers can be repositioned to suit
changing equipment needs.

Hope this helps.
Rob
