I don't have to suppose. After 9 years in management, I'm pretty much "in the know." As far as satellites, as long as the phones and the internet and UPS/FedEx work, what'd be the point? We're as close as your desk, aren't we? Thanks for asking, though.

I know some people over in London wouldn't mind if a store with the prices like B&H's opened up in the city, but I think the one in New York here in the States is plenty. Henry is correct in stating that as long as Fed-Ex and the Internet are here, B&H might as well be right next door.
I appreciate not having to pay CA sales tax every time I buy a big ticket item and having whatever I buy delivered to my door. I would like to be able to spend hours wandering through the store on the weekends and the ability to actually try out the items I want before I buy them, but I can go into a local store here and get almost the same thing. I also appreciate a business owner that either knows their limitations or knows when they don't need to expand. A rarity these days...
My problems, one minor and one serious, with having my film and camera supplier 3000 miles away is wait time and returns. The anticipation over 5-10 days is awful because I'm usually too cheap to pay for next day shipping. The one serious problem I have with it is when I get the wrong item or the item I get is damaged and I have to return them. I despise the wait of the ship, return, and re-ship process. That is the only time that I really wish that B&H was just downtown rather than just downtown New York. I can live with it though.
B&H knows what they are doing and I hope they continue doing it for a long time.
