Yes, certainly. Use an excellent lens and excellent technique with a
film like Provia and you can be assured of at least close to the best
possible result.

But trying to do a test that shows the very fine differences of a
bunch of L lenses seems kind of silly. They are the best lenses we can
use, choose the lens you own and suits the shot.

If you need this data, Photodo has already do this stuff.

If you've got a bunch of film and oodles of time, sure conduct your
own tests. If I were you I'd try and cut down the number of lenses
tested and perhaps gain some insight about the performance differences
that really matter to you.

But I still say the 10d will show some very fine differences and much
much cheaper and easier than resorting to expensive film and time
consuming scanning etc. And the very fine differences the 10d can't
resolve in the end are in an area of analness, don't you think?
