Alex,

I use spot metering and I over expose 1/2 to 1 stop on the facial features.
The shutter speeds are around 1/60 sec and the IS does come in handy as you
are trying to get your camera-lens steady as quickly as possible to take the
shot before the artist moves again. I use AI-Servo to focus because if the
artist moves a couple of inches back or forth the focusing will pick it up
and adjust accordingly. Most of the time your shooting at F2.8 and the depth
of field is quite shallow.
