For the video clips, maybe. But a P&S isn't a substitute for a 10d / 1d when it comes to, say, macro shooting. But a flip/swivel LCD with the ability to preview the image would be a big plus in those situations.
I wish someone besides Contax would make a remote LCD viewfinder for their SLR's. All it would take would be a small video camera with a relay lens system to get it to focus on the screen image, a battery, cable, and a small LCD monitor. I'd buy one in an instant. If the display were about 8x10, and allowed me to critically focus the lens, all the better.
And if it were WIRELESS... 8D
