The 1Ds and Rebel sell to totally different markets, and the price of one is not even remotely related to the other. A drop in the price of the Rebel to 750 (just an example) isn't goingn to make someone say "Gee, I was willing to pay and extra $7000 dollars for a 1Ds, but not $7250! Nor is a drop in the price of a 10d by the same amount likely to impact the decision to buy/not buy a 1Ds.
