I once read that you can accomplish this by using some tape to cover
parts of the DIN code on the film canister or if you want to do this
often, you can apply the tape to the pins in the camera that read the
DIN code.

Trouble is, I don't recall were I read about it. Try a search on Google.
Or maybe someone in Canon service could help.

Remember that you may get less than a full frame for your last shot (as
sometimes in the old manual advance cameras). I have always felt that
film cheap. A photo is sometimes not duplicatable and so I do not want
to chance it with a partial photo.
