The Quantum Bantam is a low voltage pack and cannot cycle nearly as fast as a high voltage battery pack does. If you liked the cycle times of the Turbo Battery but don't like the weight the Turbo-Z is the Quantum for you. If you only care about flash recycle time, look into the Canon HV packs. The Canon HV packs cycle nearly as fast as a Turbo Battery pack but don't last as long. But the Canon HV packs use dry cells so you will never come up short on power if you carry spares in your shoot bags. But, in the long run Canon's HV packs are much more expensive to operate due to non-rechargeable batteries. Of course you could use rechargeable but this makes them expensive and you would still have to manage recharging the cells. The Turbo Battery packs require no special charging routine and can be recharged anytime. HTH *********************************************************** Thanks for all the input. I probably should have mentioned this in the first place but I'll be shooting mostly grip and grin stuff at corporate events, school events, wedding receptions, birthdays ... you get the drift. Recycling time is of utmost importance. I'll look into the 'lower' Quantum options as well as the Sunpack and Canon packs.
