Chip's right on about this, if your main concern is cycle time. But the
Bantam is noticeably faster than a set of AA's, lasts a really long time,
and when I had to have the battery replaced in mine last fall it only cost
me $25 including shipping. Plus it's MUCH lighter than any of the HV
solutions, although a little more kludgy than the Turbo series. The other
nice thing is that if you use other flashes or items, you can buy Bantam
cables very cheaply. I have one for my Minolta 360PX and a universal kit for
my my cell phone. And it all fits nicely on my old UPI grip-style flash
bracket from the 60's :--).
