Hmm....but it doesn't sound as if it will correct the digi-typical 
erratic/unpredictable interferences between certain lenses & image 
sensors. 
(because it depends on the incident angle of light on the sensor, and 
which depends on the optical construction, more than just focal 
length?)

Btw, the German ColorFoto has simply started testing all kinds of 
lenses (OEM & third-party) with all kinds of digicam's....seems there 
is no other way of finding out.
One not so stellar performer was the EOS 200/2.8 for example (rated 
among several EOS-digicams IIRC).
