Howard,

I know the German FotoColor did run a test in their last two magazines. It
was interesting to see. They testes different types of lenses on different
types of sensors, like 10D, D100 (Nikon), 1Ds, Fuji, etc

You did see for example that some third party lenses tested well on one
sensor en more worse on another. Will this mean that new lenses from for
example Canon will be 'tuned' for their sensors and software? Does this
mean that one universal third party lens cannot be as good on Canon and
Nikon at the same time???

I can recall that the Canon 17-40 and the 135 L f/2 came out good. The 200
L 2,8 was somewhat less on digital. Now this is interesting becuase
ColorFoto raved about this lens in their 'filmtest'. It had the highest
scores.

If you would like the score of a particular lens from this magazin, give me
an email.

Greeting
Leeuwtje
